NOTES In 1958 Sonny Boy was hired to play harmonica on a Charles Clark session for Eli Toscana's Cobra label. The two takes of "Row Your Boat" included on this album were unreleased in deference to a third, as were the two Sonny Boy songs, which were thought to have been recorded as a "warm-up" at the start of the session and were among the very small number of studio recordings made by Sonny Boy outside Chess during this period. There is some speculation that a fifth track, Arbee Stidham's "When I Find My Baby", also featured Sonny Boy on harp, together with Walter Horton. These tracks subsequently appeared on Chicago Blues Harmonicas, released by Paula Records in 1991 (PCD-7). Many thanks to William E. Donoghue, a.k.a. "'Fessor Mojo", of Seattle, Washington, for providing the album cover and other details.
