Been playin a long time......since 1970 anyway. Listened to a lot of folks,Sonny Terry, Sonny Boy,Butter, Norton Buffalo,kim Wilson.As of late, Howard Levy. Played behind quite a few cats, Otis Rush, Holmes Bros, JJ Cale, Danko......... After all this time, and all this music, every time I hear Sonny Boy, he still knocks my dick in the dirt! Being from the home town of the father of the blues W.C.Handy and having my life enriched by him,I am pleased to play harp and become more proficient daily. My favorite is "Stormy Monday." I play with Iguana Party here locally some with Mary Morgan and have played once with Big Al and the Heavy Weights. The W. C. Handy festival begins the first Sunday in August and highlights National Talent. If anyone would like a weekly program sent please email me and I will forward a copy ow the week long event. Willy (onearmedwi) and the blues were made to work for each other. Willy is a very talented man and his songs, words, music and also poems are right from his heart. I'd like to say that he would be an asset to the entertainment world right away if someone would just listen to him and give him a chance. He doesn't mention it, but from all the songs, music, poems, and writing he has sent me, he's a sure candidate for his talent. I know if someone would just look into his work, they would say the same thing I did. He just has to be heard and you surely have a winner on your hands. A man with many different talents for the entertainment world.
